Ron Smith – Founder & Chief Visionary
Ron is the founder and driving force behind Cedar Rock Consulting. With a hands-on approach, he remains deeply engaged in shaping business strategies, leading project management efforts, and delivering tailored engineering solutions.
A U.S. Air Force Security Forces veteran, Ron brings discipline, leadership, and a mission-focused mindset to every project. His four-decade career spans manufacturing, structural, and building mechanical engineering, with consulting experience that ranges from independent entrepreneurs to some of the world’s largest firms.
A lifelong learner, Ron holds degrees in Computer-Aided Design Technology for Manufacturing, Management, Business Administration, and Project Management. He thrives at the intersection of knowledge and execution—applying his skills to his education, and his education to his skills.
When he’s not solving complex business and engineering challenges, Ron enjoys retreating to the tranquility of his forest home, where his love for nature offers a welcome contrast to city life.

Rocky is our AI Tech Support Agent who is programmed to help find resolutions to key challenges. Currently Rocky is in isolation learning how to be helpful and will be available for access in Q4 2026. In his free time, he enjoys sitting around.
