Although the travel scene getting to Downtown Nashville from BNA on Monday was a ring of nightmares only Freddy Kruger could conjure up (if you flew in on Monday, you know what I mean!), Autodesk University 2025 itself was very well done and an amazing experience. It was incredible to reconnect with former coworkers, old friends, and former clients, and I also had the chance to meet some new people with whom I am excited to stay in touch.
The sessions were packed with value. I learned new topics from great presenters and picked up insights into upcoming workflows with Autodesk software that I know will be useful in the work I do every day. One session that stood out in particular was Steve Dewitt’s deep dive into workflow automation with Forma, Revit, and Dynamo. The way he showed how to build configurators for scalable and repeatable workflows with an existing kit of parts was inspiring and incredibly practical. Well done, Steve!
One of the biggest highlights for me was the Global eTraining customer party on Wednesday. It was a great night surrounded by sharp, passionate people, and the energy in the room was incredible. The best moment was Lorinda Manegre’s performance - absolutely nailing Shania Twain’s “I’m Outta Here!” with absolute precision. Well Done, Lorinda! Thank you to the GeT team for the invitation and all of the connecting we did this week!
I would also like to give special thanks to TopCon Solutions Store and Symrti for extending their invitations to me to their respective evening gatherings as well. It was very nice to meet more people and mingle with everyone at these events. One of the highlights was introducing two sets of colleagues at the Symetri party, representing Women in BIM and the MEP Goddesses! It's incredibly helpful when groups like theirs can collaborate!
I am already looking forward to what Autodesk University 2026 will bring. What were your highlights?
