Autodesk Forma Build Cost Management and Insight End User Training: 2-Day Course

This two-day, instructor-led course teaches project teams how to use Autodesk Forma Build Cost Management and Insight to manage project financials, track performance, and support informed decision-making.

Participants will learn how to work within established workflows for budgets, contracts, payment applications, change orders, forecasting, reports, and dashboards. The course is intended for project managers, cost managers, contract administrators, project controls professionals, and others responsible for financial tracking and reporting.

Course Duration

Two days, eight hours per day.

Course Topics

Topics may include:

  • Cost Management navigation

  • Budgets and budget adjustments

  • Main and supplier contracts

  • Budget and cost payment applications

  • Potential change orders, RFQs, and change orders

  • Forecasting and cash-flow tracking

  • Financial markups

  • Document generation and packages

  • Cost reports and exports

  • Insight dashboards, reports, and project analytics

Prerequisites and Requirements

Participants should have a basic understanding of construction budgets, contracts, payment applications, and change-management processes.

Each participant must have:

  • An active Autodesk Forma Build license with access to Cost Management and Insight

  • Access to the designated training project

  • The permissions required to complete the course exercises

  • A properly configured workstation and reliable internet connection

Autodesk licenses and software access are not provided by Cedar Rock Consulting.

Course Exclusions

Cost Management and Insight administration, account administration and licensing, project administration, mobile-app training, ERP implementation, and third-party accounting-system configuration are not included.

About the Instructor

The instructor has extensive experience teaching, implementing, and supporting Autodesk solutions for organizations ranging from small businesses to multinational companies.

The instructor developed the Autodesk Forma Build Cost Management and Insight curriculum used in this course, which is also delivered through Global eTraining.

Participants who are not prepared, do not attend, or cancel within 24 hours of the course will be rescheduled for a future class, and a 25% late course-drop, cancellation, or no-show fee will apply.
